Guest feedback
After an online order is served, guests can be emailed a short feedback form: three star ratings — food, service and ambience — plus an optional comment. Responses land in the Feedback page, where you can spot trends and catch problems while they're fixable.
Turning it on
Settings › Feedback holds the whole setup:
- The on/off switch in the header. Nothing sends while it's off — and because the check happens at send time, flipping it off also stops emails already queued.
- The email's words — subject line, intro copy and sign-off. Leave any field blank for the standard copy (shown as the placeholder). Your logo and colours come from Settings › Branding automatically — there's no template to design.
- When it sends — the delay, in minutes, after the order is marked ready or completed. An hour is a good default: long enough that they've eaten, soon enough that it's fresh.
- Which orders — online collection and delivery. Other order types (dine-in QR, kiosk, till) don't capture a guest email yet, so they're shown disabled rather than pretending; they'll join when email capture reaches those flows.
Feedback emails need the guest to have left an email at checkout — it's optional there, so not every order produces one.
The form guests see
The email links to a one-page form branded like your ordering site: three rows of stars, an optional comment box, one Send feedback button. No account, no app. Each link works once and lasts two weeks — after that it politely expires. A guest who already replied sees a thank-you rather than a second form.
Reading the results
The Feedback page (under Service) shows:
- Averages for the window — overall, food, service and ambience, each to one decimal place.
- The trend — average overall rating per day, so a slipping week is visible at a glance.
- Every response — when, which store, which order, the order type, all three ratings and the comment.
Filter by date range (7/30/90 days), store, order type, or star rating — overall or per aspect. "Show me every 1-star service rating this month" is two clicks, and the order reference on each row tells you exactly which visit went wrong.
Good to know
- One feedback request per order, ever — a guest is never nagged twice about the same meal.
- Ratings are the guest's words, verbatim — there's no editing or deleting a response.
- The overall score is the plain average of the three aspects.
